Exciting Progress from
Hope Center Uganda!
Hope Center Uganda continues to make remarkable strides in empowering communities through its dynamic initiatives. In just the past quarter, the Uplift Project has reached over 250 women across Gulu City, Koro, Kabedo Opong, Baredege, and Unyama, providing life-changing business loans and hands-on training in financial literacy and entrepreneurship . An additional 100 new members also received loans totaling 29.2 million UGX, helping them launch or expand small businesses that directly uplift their families and local economies.
Beyond financial empowerment, HCU’s literacy program is transforming young lives, with 97 children enrolled and receiving essential academic support, meals, and supplies. Thanks to incredible local support, construction for expanded classroom space has begun, aiming to reach even more eager learners .
In their ongoing efforts to address health and well-being, HCU has also provided reproductive health education to hundreds of girls, distributing 530 reusable sanitary pads to ensure they can attend school confidently and consistently .
Tech skills are also in focus: Over 200 youth have received computer literacy training through HCU’s ICT program, opening doors to modern opportunities in education and employment .
The energy and resilience of the HCU team and the communities they serve are inspiring. As they work toward self-sustainability and expansion, the future is brighter than ever for these changemakers in Uganda!
